15-17 Kirkham Rd, Bowral NSW 2576 Sunday Gathering, 5pm at Kazcare Bowral
Join us Sunday’s 10am and 5pm in the hall at the Kazcare facility at 15-17 Kirkham Road, Bowral. Once a month we have a meal together and combine for one gathering only. Please see our facebook page or calendar for these dates.
Visiting a church for the very first time can be a little daunting, especially if you don’t know what to expect. It doesn’t have to be that way, especially if it’s The Fields you visit. Below you will find out a little about our Sunday evening gatherings so when you show up you aren’t immediately looking for an exit!
Each Sunday, The Fields meets in the hall at the Kazcare facility in Bowral with a service at 5pm to worship God. Our gatherings consist of worship through music, teaching from the Bible and connecting relationally with each other.
If this is your first time at The Fields, it might be helpful to show up fifteen minutes early just to get acquainted and have some coffee. When you pull into the car park, park wherever you’d like. As you walk toward the Hall where we meet, you will notice a mix of people, hanging out and talking inside. As you enter the room you can grab a note sheet and a welcome card. Once inside, feel free to sit where you like, although the seats toward the front are really more comfortable!
The Fields is a relational church. The people at here are pretty casual and it’s common to see them in whatever is comfortable. However, you will find a variety, so come in what you are comfortable wearing. You will also find that the people at The Fields are very welcoming so be ready for quite a few smiles when visiting.
If you have kids we have a fun program where kids can learn about God and build friendships with each other in a loving and safe environment. The kids currently join us for worship and then are taken to separate classroom space after announcements. We encourage any one to remain in the service and are very welcome to stay and listen to the preaching. Children are then collected after our teaching time and our final songs.
Each service starts with worship of God through music and a short reading from the Bible. The music is led by a band and includes a mix of contemporary songs and traditional hymns. After the music, one of the pastors will provide teaching from the Bible. Typically, The Fields will work through a specific book of the Bible over several months. After the teaching time, we respond to God through music. During this second set of music, we remember the sacrifice of Jesus by celebrating the Lord’s Supper (Communion) each week. All followers of Jesus are invited to participate in this regardless of what church you belong to. We use a “self-serve” format with tables set up in the front and back. The whole service lasts about an hour and twenty minutes. But please stay after to hang out!
Lastly, on the third Sunday of each month, join us for a meal after service.
That’s it! That’s what a weekly Sunday service looks like at The Fields.
